TINJAUAN HUKUM ISLAM MENGENAI PERAN TKW SEBAGAI PENCARI NAFKAH KELUARGA: STUDI KASUS KELUARGA TKW DI DESA CICADAS KECAMATAN BINONG KABUPATEN SUBANG

In everyday life, every family has needs that must be met, including primary, secondary and tertiary needs. Sometimes a husband does not have enough ability to meet these needs. In conditions of economic pressure, many wives work abroad to become migrant workers in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, Saudi Arabia and so on, with the motive of helping their husbands, changing their fate, and the attraction of relatively high wages, resulting in many wives in Cicadas Village, Binong District, Subang Regency being willing to become female workers (TKW) abroad, even many married women have become migrant workers abroad. The research method used is field research, namely research carried out in the field with a qualitative descriptive research type. The data collection techniques are through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research indicate that the role of women as breadwinners as migrant workers in Cicadas Village, Binong District, Subang Regency is basically permissible in Islamic law, because earning a living to meet the means of living is the right and obligation of both husband and wife, as long as a wife does not neglect her obligations towards her husband and children. Wives in Cicadas Village, Binong District, Subang Regency play an important role as breadwinners for the family, both wives who still have husbands and wives who no longer have husbands (widows) with the aim of helping and easing a husband's obligations. Meanwhile, the factors behind the role of migrant workers as family breadwinners in Cicadas Village, Binong District, Subang Regency are an increasingly difficult economy, the stronger influence of women's emancipation, the availability of various job opportunities for women, the desire of women to be independent in the economic field, financial needs, relational social needs, and the need for self-actualization.
