Abstract

This study explores the role of sharia features on e-commerce platforms such as Shopee Barokah and Tokopedia Halal Corner in supporting the growth of sharia based digital economy in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of sharia digital economy in Indonesia, halal features provided by Shopee Barokah and Tokopedia Halal Corner services. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by analyzing secondary data from various trusted sources. The results of the study show that sharia features on Shopee and Tokopedia provide easy access to halal products and Islamic services such as ZISWAF, as well as riba free payments. Shopee Barokah excels in ease of transactions for ZISWAF, while Tokopedia Halal Corner offers a wider range of sharia services, such as sharia investment and halal products. However, challenges such as complex navigation and transparency of fund management still need to be improved. This study recommends improving digital education, strengthening transparency systems, and cross-sector collaboration to expand the benefits of sharia based digital economy. Thus, it is hoped that Indonesia can improve the welfare of the Muslim community, as well as encourage the growth of financial and social inclusion as a whole.
